(formerly Continuing Education Committee)


Meeting Info

OPHA's Professional Development Committee led by OPHA's Administrator, Tracy Freudenthaler, PhD, MPH, MCHES. Dr. Freudenthaler hosts and schedules a quarterly meeting.


Committee Members

OPHA members with certifications – such as CHES, LSW, CPH, etc – are welcome to join the Professional Development Committee. OPHA currently offers CPH and (M)CHES credits, but will explore expanding our offerings to include Licensed Social Work (LSW) and other credits in the near future.

Professional Development Committee Objectives

      • Maintain procedural standards and content quality for NCHEC Multi-Event Provider (MEP) status.
      • Review submitted requests for continuing education credits.
      • Review and approve submitted requests for continuing education credits to be offered with OPHA activities.
      • Create and distribute approved continuing education credits on a quarterly basis.
      • Plan continuing education credit offerings for OPHA's annual conference in conjunction with the Conference Committee.
      • Report approved continuing education credits to appropriate credentialers.
