Join us for a day of hands-on trainings and workshops to prepare us for when our families, friends, and communities need us! OPHA's professional development programming offers Oklahoma's public health community opportunity to learn from one another about ongoing research, strategies, and practices for public health improvement, protection, and service across the state.
The Oklahoma Public Health Association is pleased to relaunch the Emergency Preparedness and Response Section during our first Learning Institute at Tulsa Community College. This professional development opportunity welcomes health professionals across all domains of health, especially first responders, crisis volunteers, early career professionals, and students exploring emergency management. All are welcome to attend, but seating is limited for some sessions.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE SECTION OPHA EP&R Section provides a mechanism of sharing preparedness and emergency response initiatives, ideas, and experiences between individuals engaged in supporting public health preparedness and emergency response. We recognize and thank first responders for their commitment to serve, while inviting early career professionals and students to explore this domain of public health. The Section hosts webinars and virtual meetings throughout the year, see OPHA event's calendar for dates and times throughout 2026. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Are you a student or professional interested in supporting this event by volunteering on April 24th? Email Dr. Freudenthaler admin@oklahomapublichealth.org with your interest. | CONTINUING EDUCATION OPHA will offer up to 6.5 CE hours (CPH and CHES) at this event. Up to 2 CLEET* hours will be offered. See agenda for designations. Certificates of attendance are available for students, CHWs, and those who self report their hours. Anyone seeking continuing education or certificates of attendance should complete this OPHA linked form. Talk Saves Lives same-day certifications will be on a first-registered, first served basis. *This class has been catalogued by the Council on Law Enforcement and Training for one hour of mandatory continuing education credit.
