POLICY ACTION GROUP Group Info As a nonpartisan 501(c)3 organization, OPHA is proud to protect and promote public health in Oklahoma through grassroots and direct lobbying. Therefore, OPHA is launching a Policy Action Group to organize rapid response, targeted advocacy as legislation progresses throughout session (February to May each spring). When key bills are moving, lawmakers need to hear directly from their constituents – and often on short notice! We anticipate "rapid response" ranging from ≤ 24 hours to a week. Who Can Join OPHA's Policy Action Group? – Sign up today! All public and allied-health professionals and students ready to advocate to protect and promote public health in Oklahoma are welcome to join! This group is designed for action. By signing up, you’re committing to act (as you're available) when OPHA identifies a time-sensitive opportunity to make your voice heard. Focus Areas As of early March 2026, policy priorities for targeted action include defending TSET and heated tobacco taxation. OPHA is also closely monitoring bills on mandatory overdose reporting, raw milk, and disease surveillance.
